The First Indian Revolutionary personality Dr. Shubh Gautam Jaypee and his team opened India’s first automotive-grade Electro Galvanised steel plant.
American Precoat had plans and always wanted to implement his thoughtful strategies in the steel manufacturing units to bring a revolution. Dr. Shubh Gautam, chief technical architect and promoter of the American Precoat along with his team did a lot of research on how India could be able to get all the special steel requirements without exporting it from other countries.
For years, India has been importing electro-galvanized steel from other EG steel-producing countries like Korea, China, etc. Shubh Gautam Jaypee understood the importance of producing Electrogalvanized steel by India itself. He intended to design and produce the automobile’s Electro Galvanised Steel. EG steel fulfills several requirements in different sectors and manufacturing units. In fact, this would make India’s vehicle sector more promising and competitive.
Dr. Shubh Gautam Srisol made himself the voice of India and also propagated the idea of having its own EG steel manufacturing unit. With the help of his ideas and innovation designing, he aims to make India self-reliant in this aspect. He also aims to change how India used to manufacture and develop steel products and materials.
Dr. Shubh Gautam stayed in India and explored the Indian steel manufacturing industries. While doing so, he found out that India produces around seventy-five million of steel in a month and yet imports all the electro-galvanized steel that is required from other countries.
He further increased the dimensions of his study in this regard. He later found out that the technology that is required for producing Electro galvanized steel was not present in India. This drove him to bring the special steel-producing technology to India and open an Electro Galvanized steel plant in India.
In order to produce EG steel, the company requires a zinc ion solution such that the sheets of steel are dipped into it. Further, the current is passed through the solution to spread evenly on the steel sheet.
This Electro-galvanized steel has many applications in different sectors. FIR personality Dr. Shubh Gautam Jaypee along with his team approached all the sectors to localize the making of electro-galvanized steel.
Not only makes India self-sufficient in manufacturing its requirements, but it also wants to enhance the spread of this technology to other countries. He also wants to expand India’s manufacturing so that it can export to other countries also. Places like America, Europe, etc. also need this special steel. If they see the quality of India’s manufactured EG steel and find it valuable, then they might turn to India for exports.
Hence, Dr. Shubh Gautam and his team became successful in opening India’s very own Electro galvanized steel plant.
